Questo libro si fonda sulla scoperta del bambino naturale, non ancora deviato dall’intervento dell’educazione imposta dall’adulto, ancora, purtroppo ancorata a un’immagine del bambino inteso come essere vuoto, la cui mente e anima devono essere riempiti dalle conoscenze che l’adulto, troppo spesso, trasmette con arroganza e presunzione, ritenendo di essere l’unico latore della verità e del sapere. Analizzando i principi fondamentali del Metodo Montessori, quali i periodi sensitivi, la concezione della mente assorbente, l’educazione come aiuto al dispiegarsi dello sviluppo, l’importanza del movimento per lo sviluppo e l’apprendimento, l’ambiente che si trasforma in un co-educatore, si passa all’importanza per lo sviluppo cognitivo dei materiali sensoriali di sviluppo. Squarciando il velo dell’educazione tradizionale Maria Montessori è riuscita a portare alla luce un metodo educativo rispettoso del bambino, a indicare la via da seguire per far sì che gli adulti, da semplici impositori di regole, si possano trasformare in una guida nel percorso di autocostruzione del bambino; mettendo davanti agli occhi quanto sia effimero uno stile educativo basato su premi e punizioni, su di una lezione puramente frontale sin dalla scuola dell’infanzia.

Taxes and customs duties

Shipments to destinations outside the European Union will be increased by a fixed cost of €50 for customs charges. Such shipments may be required to pay additional import taxes or customs duties, which Montessori BF cannot anticipate in any way; such charges shall be paid exclusively by the customer, who shall have to pay the amount due to the shipping agent or to the relevant authorities.
